Can we let you in on a little secret?
Almost everyone who walks through the door at one of our workshops with The HeART Room says the same thing when they arrive.
"I'm not very creative."
They say it apologetically. Quietly. Like they're confessing something. As if they're worried they've come to the wrong place and someone is about to find them out. 😊
Here's what we want you to know.
You're not in the wrong place and no one will be judged at the end of the session. Nobody is going to hold up your work and give it marks out of ten.
What there IS—is a warm room, good company, materials laid out waiting for you and time that belongs entirely to you and your process. 🌿
Creativity isn't a talent you're born with or without.
It's something that lives in every single one of us: it just gets buried under responsibilities, routines and years of being told to colour inside the lines. Beneath the voice that said you weren't as good as so and so and under decades of putting everyone else first.
Coming to a workshop isn't about discovering you're secretly a brilliant artist.
It's about remembering that making things feels good. That your hands know things your head has forgotten and that there is something quietly wonderful about sitting with other people, making something beautiful and not thinking about anything else for a while. ✨
